Phoenix was short lived. We probably spent about 20 hours there. Kelly, Christie & I arrived shortly after 9:30 am on a Sunday morning and had about 3 hours to kill before we could check into our very first airbnb. So we decided to hit up Old Town for some grub. The Rusty Spur Saloon was our first stop They weren't serving food yet but the gentleman at the bar was kind enough to get our orders in quickly. Soon enough we were fed and a little bit tipsy. All before noon, we were starting this adventure off right! I had my usual, a Moscow Mule. I even almost bought myself one of their Rusty Spur copper mugs. {I kind of wished I did} Afterwards we did a little bit of window shopping (so. much. turquoise.) before making our way to Pete & Diana's, our airbnb hosts. They were so very lovely and had the cutest guest home ever. I think I fantasized about living there at least 5 times. Their tv had netflix, there was IPA beer in the fridge, the cutest kitchen that had a starbucks coffee maker. A deep red glazed concrete floor. This place was very obviously a garage converted into a guest home but in the most coolest way. Couldn't have found a better place to stay that night. <<<<<>>>>> We came to Phoenix to meet up with Kelly's sister Christine. She was there for a Photography convention and decided to make a trip out of it. The following morning we woke up bright and early so we could get on the road and start our adventure. We were heading to Salvation Mountain before stopping at our first camping spot in Joshua Tree. But before we made it to those places we stopped at The Imperial Sand Dunes in Niland, California. {The Sand Dunes} will be the next adventure on my blog <><><> Xo!
